About Breathing Type Tai Chi
Tai chi practitioners all over the world are searching for the mysterious inner power that made tai chi famous in China in the 19th century. It allows us to win without fighting.
The way to this inner strength is through breathing, rooting of posture and relaxed, but not limp, movements guided by the mind.
But which breathing method is the right one? 'Normal' abdominal breathing or inverted breathing, which involves breathing in the chest?
The so-called ›exhalers‹ breathe with the abdomen and gain their strength when exhaling. In contrast, the ›inhaler types‹ use reverse breathing to become strong. Course participants discover their personal breathing type and practise Tai Chi according to it.
